About This Trail
A little further along the trail is a ridge that affords excellent views of the Pine Valley Mountains as well as the Kolob Canyons. You can see from the right hand direction an an 8,000 foot mountain ridgeline. You can see Mt. from the trail end with the south horizon behind you. At the north rim of the Grand Canyon is the area that's affectionately known as 'Trombar.' During the spring and summer months the trail is a beautiful display of desert wildflowers. There are rare brightly colored collared lizards along the trail. In addition to parking, there is picnic tables and bathroom facility located next to the small area where there is a picnic.
