The campground is usually open through the cooler months. At 7890 feet above sea level, it is 25 miles north of the town of Virgin. The South entrance of Zion Canyon takes about an hour and a half to drive from. First come first serve are the campsites that are primitive. The vehicles are not allowed longer than 19 feet.
