About This Trail
The trail begins at Lee Pass and goes along the side of the mountain, past open canyon areas. The trail descends to the bottom of the creek on a hard packed trail after coming around the corner. The trail heads up stream and offers great views of the cliffs. It is possible that the largest free-standing arch in the world is located 7 miles from Lee Pass. You can continue up the canyon to Bear trap Canyon or even offer day hiking options. This is a great place to spend a few days. It is best during the spring, summer and fall. It is normal for the trail to have snow in the winter. The only way to make a camping reservation is online or on a walk-up basis. They have 13 backpack camps along the trail.
