The road to this trail head is currently closed. Before setting off for the trail, please check ahead. This trail is not a defined trail. The official trail map at the visitor center does not include it. It is a wilderness hike that has become popular. The "waterfall" is ephemeral and difficult to access. Visitors do this hike only to be disappointed. It is also used by hunters during the fall season, which can be a deterrent for some hikers. Many animals can be aggressive in Rainbow Rock Canyon.
