About

∴Primitive Freedom is a boondocking campsite located in the serene hamlet of San Jacinto Cove. Surrounded by the breathtaking views of San Jacinto Mountain’s famed north face and nearby peaks, this campsite offers a unique outdoor experience for nature and adventure enthusiasts. Although there are no modern amenities like electricity, water, or trash service at the site, there is a small convenience store / gas station within the community [Windy Cove Market]. Full-featured RV Travel Centers are also conveniently nearby, including Morongo Casino [Cabazon - 13 mi.], Pilot [Palm Springs - 8 mi.], and Flyinging J [Thousand Palms - 15 mi.] to fuel up and clean out. Despite its remote location, the campsite is just a short distance from the vibrant city of Palm Springs, making it the ideal destination for those seeking a balance of peace and excitement. Nearby attractions include the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, Palm Springs Art Museum, and Acrisure Arena. Bountiful trails, canyons, and National parks are also quick drives away. The terrain is rocky desert sand. The site is fenced off for maximal security and privacy. Be mindful of occasional windy conditions as the neighborhood has another nickname after a nearby ridge - Windy Point. Download the Windy.com app for more details on wind conditions. Learn more about the epic trails and canyons on AllTrails.com. Tent campers must have advanced dispersed camping experience.
