About This Trail
This petroglyph panel is the only way to find out how long the bighorn sheep have been in Zion. It is a typical hike in the East Zion canyons. The Park does not like to advertise these things. Look north from the parking area and you will see the sheer cliff. The t-shirts are at the base. Go north or the other way down the road under the stone culvert. The wash bottoms are not visible to the naked eye, so watch for the trail to cut over them. The slickrock leads up the canyon to the right of the petroglyphs. It is difficult to climb a large dryfall but is easy to climb to the right. There is a slot canyon above this. The next dryfall has a pool and most people stop here, but the first one has a staircase. It can be bypassed by a ledge on the left side.
