The Dalles Columbia River Trail

This bike ride is very nice and can be seen from the Columbia River. The Columbia River Discovery Center has a lot of parking so you can start there. There are some parking areas for the trail. It's best to take the first 4 miles out of town. There is a fair amount of up and down. You're riding through quiet business areas after that. It is only one block that has a separate bike path. The last mile is scenic but noisy and near the freeway. By going through the park and boat launch you can go further.
