About This Trail

The trail begins at the foot of the mountain. Hood from the Sandy River all the way to Ramona Falls. It takes Ramona Falls 120 feet to fall, then it goes into a pool of water that's broken into smaller chunks by the basalt columns. The trail in this region is easy for beginners, but it's hard for those not used to hiking in the mountains. The south part of the loop to the falls is less scenic, but still an enjoyable walk, with some nice views of the falls on a trail that is not very scenic. Following the beautiful path of Ramona Creek you can take the return flight on the north leg to return to the center of the park. Do not try and cross the bridge without using caution, as there is no bridge to do so now.
