About This Trail
The Sierra Clubs are part of the top one-hundred desert peaks. The North and South Guardian Angels can be seen from the Northgate Peaks trail. It is possible to reach the summit of South Guardian Angel in a full day of hiking. Dropping hikers 1,400 feet down a rugged, wandering, series of gully's and washes is a lot of work. The Left Fork of North Creek is located at the stream bed. A short reprieve to take on water in the Subway. A high country stroll along a wide sandy wash, then into a series of slickrock bowls. The Sierra Clubs "top one-hundred desert peaks" to climb are part of the "desert classic peak" hikes.
