About This Trail
This hike requires a steep off- trail climb. One of the prettiest lakes in the wilderness is under the granite of Sawtooth Mountain. It is required for overnight visitors to have a wilderness permit. It is required for campfires and camp stoves. The Trinity Alps are always open, but most access roads are closed during winter.
