About This Trail
It's a beautiful route to the Four Lakes loop. It is worth knowing that Stoney Ridge is the most direct way to the lake for solitude seekers. It's required for overnight visitors to have a wilderness permit. There are free campfire permits required. Most access roads in the Trinity Alps are closed during the winter. Users have reported that the maps take them to the wrong place. The road after the bridge should not be pulled off from the south. Continue on Rte 3N and look for signs. The turn-off is about a mile after the bridge.
