About This Trail

The springs trail goes through fir, bristlecone, and spruce forests. The trail contains red cliff breaks to the east and Quaking Aspen groves to the south. The part of the trail in the west is more forested. The midway point of the trail includes a spring that provides some shade for weary travelers. They are advised to treat the water before they use it for drinking. It is advised to have lots of water on this hike as well as other hikes. Hikers and campers in the popular Overnight camping area should take care of each other and respect the privacy of others.
