About This Trail
The highest part of the park is reached by the Bristlecone loop, which goes through the forest from the southern end. You can see the views of the Four Corners area if you pass by the Bristlecone pines. The forest here is dominated by Blue Spruce, Douglas-fir and White Fir, making it a good habitat for birds. You are also likely to see Ravens and Steller's Jays here. The bird species remind us that many plants and animals can be found in many different habitats. Please don't feed the animals. The trail may be difficult to access during the winter due to the depths of the snow.
