The Helen Putnam regional Park is a great place to start hiking. At this regional park, you can enjoy the more beautiful aspects of nature. The Filaree Trail goes to the Ridge trail. Helen Putnam Regional Park is a small wilderness park. 6 miles of trails cross grassy hillsides and wind through heritage oaks. The southern Sonoma County countryside can be seen from the ridge-top trails. Helen Putnam is a great choice for beginning hikers who are looking for a bit of a challenge. Cyclists and horseback riders are allowed on the trails. A playground, a gazebo, and a fishing pond are located near the parking lot.
