About This Trail

Imported description
It's possible to get a permit to travel into the heart of Desolation Wilderness. You have to get a wilderness permit at Eagle Falls. Climb up the trail at first, then ascend a set of stone steps. The short loop trail leads to the falls. It is a good way to get to Emerald Bay from the high bridge. Continue on the trail uphill until you reach a fork. This is a good hiking trail for children, as it leads to the lake at the north side of the mountain. Take a swim in the cold. Keep going further to reach the Eagle Lake waters. The trail is crowded, but it is a great place to picnic and work out.
