A portion of the Wheeler Creek Trail will be closed Monday through Friday beginning September 9, 2019 to December 1st, 2019. All recreational activity will need to use alternative routes, as access will be closed below the trail head near I-39 and the Ice Box Canyon Junction. The Wheeler Creek Trail is a deep canyon featuring towering cliffs and a small stream. This shady adventure is popular for families and adventurers of all sorts. Trail is wide and well maintained gravel surface. The Wheeler Cheek Trail is just one of many wonderful recreation trails in the Snow Basin, Ogden Valley area. This trail is popular among hikers, bikers, and horseman alike. It is an easy walk through green meadows marshes and scrub oak. Here you will find a multitude of birds, and wildlife including deer and moose. Due to its proximity to the Snow basin ski resort this trail is also popular for back country skiers and snowshoeing. So no matter what your pleasure or time of year you will find it on the wheeler creek trails.
