About This Trail
The lakes are in the rugged basin above Boulder Lake. It is necessary to find and scramble over granite and talus slopes. The lakes are just a stone's throw from the busy Boulder Lake. It is required for this hike that you have off- trail scrambling and route finding skills. It requires a wilderness permit for overnight visitors. You have to have a free campfire permit to fire up your camp stove. Most of the access roads in the Trinity Alps are closed during the winter.
