Tahoe Rim Trail to Picnic Rock Viewpoint

It is often thought of as the best views for the less work when hiking off the TRT to the Spur Trail Viewpoint. It makes this a must do short hike in the area, it has good views of the Lake and surrounding peaks. You can go up the hill from the north shore to the Kings Beach. If you have a 4wd or higher clearance vehicle you can drive up the dirt road from the parking area. If you stay on the Rim Trail, the trail is very easy to extend into a longer hike. You can see a sign that saysPicnic Rock Lake View if you go about a mile from the viewpoint. The trail has no water, but there is shade to keep you cool.
