About This Trail
The Switzerland Trail is a popular trail for mountain biking and running along a railroad grade in the Colorado Front Range. The trail is gradual through the forest. The rocky terrain on the narrow-gauge railroad bed is perfect for dirt bikes of all skill levels and gives a wonderful view of the Eastern Plains to the east and the Indian Peaks to the west. The Colorado and Northwestern Railroad was one of the previous operators of the railroad line. The trail is managed by the National Forest Service.
