About This Trail

Mount Elbert is the highest point in the state and Sawatch Range. You'll be above the treeline on this climb so be prepared. It's important to allow yourself plenty of time at a high altitude. It's very important that you get a very early start because it's very dangerous to be above the treeline in a storm.
