Imported description
The trail is still accessible despite the gate being closed due to heavy snow. The trail starts in the Brainard Lake Recreation Area. There is a fee for entering this area. The road to the campsite is closed from October to June. Visitors are asked to park at the closed gate. The route adds 2.5 miles to the hike. This hike begins at the Long Lake trail.
