About This Trail

The Snow Gauging trail is a beautiful trail that leads to the back of Mount Timpanogos. The snow gauge station is located near the beginning of the trail. The snow gauge is used to measure precipitation. The trail goes from the station to a ridge and ends in a canyon. There are sections of the trail where the tread is not very wide and defined, but it is still relatively easy to follow. There is one stream on the lower section of the trail. The trail connects with the trail after crossing the state line. Snow Gauging is a trail that is lesser used. The trail grades range from 5 to 20 percent.
