About This Trail

A short, mostly level trail leads through deep sand to Sand Dune Arch, a secluded arch tucked among tall sandstone fins that shade and cool the pocket around it. One section is very narrow where it squeezes between the fins. The deep sand makes it fun for children but not wheelchair accessible; NPS asks visitors not to climb or jump off the arch.
