Round Lake

The dramatic volcanic backdrop gives Round Lake it's own flair, since it's rich in wildflower gardens and historical connections to the first trans-Sierra explorers. It's not a wilderness permit that is required for stove or fire. During the summer months there is a parking fee at the Meiss Lake parking areas. The Pacific Crest Trail doesn't allow bikes, but they can enter from the north.
