Pine Creek Canyon Trail

Climbers will know Fern Canyon from the climb. The upper path is a dirt/rock trail that goes under the cliffs of Pine Creek. If you like bouldering, you can follow the stream up the canyon instead of looking at the many ponds, pools, and plants that are there. The dead pine in the photo can be used as a landmark when entering the streambed. Go past the climbers launch for Dark Shadows and turn the corner into the canyon as the cliffs narrow above. As the canyon narrows, bouldering, or scrambling up the many game trails to the end of the canyon is a good option.
