About This Trail

The easiest hike of all the Indian Peaks is Pawnee Peak, which has great views of the other peaks and the national park. You will be on the Continental Divide at the Pass and summit. The hike starts at the Long Lake Trail-head and goes up a slope to the pass. It is a moderate hike to the summit from the Pass. You'll be amazed at the panorama on the summit. Don't forget to look down. The fall colors of the tundra are similar to Colorado's golden aspens.
