Mount Audubon and Paiute Peak

This route takes you up the standard Audubon trail to the peak and then ridge walk towards Paiute Peak (fun scramble/route finding/lots of ups and downs). Once at Paiute Peak, you can follow the ridge until you reach the gentle saddle between the peak and Mt. Toll. There will probably be snow so bring spikes/poles. Follow down into the small lake in the valley and then down to Little Blue Lake trail back. Alternatives Routes: Consider going reverse and taking the Little Blue Lake route up to the smaller unnamed upper lake and up the (more exciting) gully to the left of Paunte Peak (loose scramble) or you can go up the SE Ridge of Mt. Audubon--class 3+/exposure for more even more excitement rather that the standard easy Audubon trail. Before executing any route, be sure to read up on trail tips and trip reports and have the 10 essentials such as a map/compass/rain gear as the mountains create their own weather (especially in the summer afternoons!). Leave early as you will be out of treeline/safety from lightning most of this route.
