About This Trail
They spent thousands of years on the grassy hillsides. They burned the oaks to improve the growth of the plants that are used for food, baskets, and string. The settlers established sheep ranches where prize-winning flocks thrived. Jonathan Lyons and Amelia Misket adopted many of the practices of the Misket family and Lyons used them to improve his operation.
