The trail from Blue Diamond Hill goes along the edge of the Las Vegas Valley. You are returning by a mountain bike trail. The hike is difficult. It might be the distance that makes it hard. There is plenty of elevation gain on the way to the Muffins and the Las Vegas overlook. A trail goes to the second overlook once you reach the crest of Blue Diamond Hill. It's downhill and some of it is a bit dicey. A lot of this trail was formed by horseback riders. There are many trails that bikers, horse riders, and hikers use. You can take any number of ways to reach the hill, either on a hike or a series of hikes.
