About This Trail
The trail has been temporarily closed due to COVID-19. The park's website has up to date information. The Iron Mountain Trail leads to the second highest peak in Poway and offers a great view of Northern San Diego County. On a clear day, hikers can see Mt. The Catalina Islands as well as Woodson. The Iron Mountain trail is accessed from the south by the intersection of Poway Road and CA - 67. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen on this hike because there is no shade. Mountain biking is allowed along the trail. The Iron Mountain hiking trails can be reached by visitors.
