About This Trail

Generated from trail data
The first two miles of the Kalalau Trail climb from Kēʻē Beach to Hanakāpīʻai Beach, then an unmaintained trail continues roughly two miles up Hanakāpīʻai Valley to a waterfall DLNR describes as a spectacular 300-foot cascade. The valley route repeatedly crosses Hanakāpīʻai Stream and is subject to dangerous flash floods and falling rocks. DLNR says to allow a full day for the 8-mile round trip.
