About This Trail
Continue on foot from wherever you park. The road goes up several stairs before entering the valley floor. You will pass by some old buildings along the way. The trail will reach the lake before the treeline. This is where vehicles must stop. The trail continues up the valley and passes many beautiful lakes. The imposing face of Little Bear Peak will be above you. The trail ascends a small headwall as it nears the end of the valley. They all will get you above it, so which path you choose is up to you. Veer left after passing the head wall and went to the face of Ellingwood Point. Don't head for the ridge, but work your way across. Stay to the left of the false summit.
