About This Trail

Imported description
The trail is a beautiful one even though it is a strenuous hike due to the steep elevation gain. It's a great way to escape the heat in the summer because you are under trees the entire time. The Aspens, cottonwood and pines fill the avalanche chute at an eye level. Take the gravel road up to the L to get to the large cave in the cliffs, but don't go up the steep stone steps to get to the E side of the avalanche chute. The slopes are covered with flowers and you can hear the water coming down the falls from the canyon below. The overlook is a great place to stop and relax. Be very careful near the edge.
