About This Trail

The East Temple Saddle route is a way out of the city. The canyon overlook trail is one of the top hikes in Zion National Park. This trail is well designed and protected making it an excellent place to see high altitudes in the park. The East Temple is located to your right from the overlook. The summit resides at 7109 feet above sea level. If you like to enjoy steep slickrock, the East Temple Saddle route is an extension that will lead you into a loop. Dropping down from the back of the saddle you wander through the creek, skirting the headgate. Few people will ever witness the adventure that the route gives. Quote: Don't
