About This Trail
The Desolation Wilderness is accessible from Eagle Creek Canyon. It is one of the few places where you can snowshoe and ski in the winter. The Eagle Creek is frozen and there are amazing cliffs and views of Lake Tahoe. You need a wilderness permit to go on the trail.
