It is possible that the most well known route in the mountain is the one labeled as the most popular. The road leading up to the Cathedral was called "Doran Scenic Drive". According to this quote, you will see bits of old pavement that added to the difficulty. There are a lot of unlicensed vehicles in the surrounding area. There are many fun side roads. The canyon on the right is labeled "Odessa Canyon", while the canyon on the left is labelled "Basin Canyon". It's important to visit Calico Ghost Town, it has a fee area. It is very narrow with large boulders and embedded rock. Not for large vehicles or stock SUVs. The lockers and skid plates need to be taken out of the ground. The canyon on the right can be difficult to drive up.
