Cliffs of the Neuse Lake Trail

The cliffs of the Neuse State Park overlook the Neuse River. The hiking trails lead to some quiet fishing spots along the waterway. There's an 11-acre swimming lake with a bathhouse, grass-covered lawn, sandy beach and diving platform for rent in the local communities. The picnic grounds are close. There are 35 campsites in the park, and a group campsite. The visitor center offers museum-quality exhibits that explore the natural and cultural history of the region.
