Cliffs of the Neuse Galax Trail

The cliffs overlooking the Neuse River are a landmark for centuries. There are five hiking trails that lead to some quiet fishing spots along the waterway. The local communities like to use an 11-acre swimming lake with a bathhouse, grass-covered lawn, sandy beach and diving platform. There are picnic grounds nearby. There are 35 family campsites at the park. The visitor center has exhibits that look at the natural and cultural history of the region.
