About This Trail

The cliffs of the Neuse State Park have been a landmark for hundreds of years. Five hiking trails explore the riverside habitats and lead to some quiet fishing spots along the waterway. The 11-acre swimming lake with a bathhouse, grass-covered lawn, sandy beach and diving platform is a favorite facility for the local communities. There are picnic grounds nearby. There are group campsites and a family campground at the park. The natural and cultural history of the region is explored in exhibits at the visitor center.
