About This Trail
The route to Cave Peak begins at the Big Rock trail head. The locals call Cave Peak "Pyramid Peak". There is no known cave in the area, and the origin of the name on maps is not known. The Big Rock trail is winding around ridges. The most prominent ridge is in the middle of the trail. The trail goes along the ridge for about three quarters of a mile. This route is not easy to navigate. It can be difficult to walk on the abundant loose rocks. This route is classified as "hard" because of the conditions. This option requires some route finding.
