About This Trail
This moderate trail begins in a sandy wash and forks: the eastern branch scrambles up Aztec Butte for panoramic views, while the western branch climbs a smaller butte and drops below the rim to two ancestral Puebloan granaries. Both branches require scrambling over slickrock and ledges. NPS lists it at 1.4 mi round trip with 222 ft of elevation change; archeological sites must be viewed from a distance and never entered or touched.
