About This Trail
You can reach the Twin Peaks by walking away from Eklutna Lake and crossing Thachkatnu Creek. The trail winds up the East Twin Peak at a fairly steep elevation. It is possible to see Eklutna Lake for the entire hike, but it is not worth it until you get above the tree line. There is a bench that overlooks the peaks and the Glacier. If you continue past the bench, you will see dall sheep, bald eagles, and a bear. The berries are late in the summer.
