About This Trail

Imported description
This is a well-maintained trail with great views of Mount Hood and many of the surrounding peaks. The crowd is thin after the lake. It's a good idea to turn left at the pile of rocks. You can find a nice point away from most of the crowd if you continue further down along the rocks. It can sometimes be cloudy when you want to see Mount Hood. If planning to summit, poles and caulks should be used. If you don't have a NW Forest Pass, you will need to buy a $5 day pass at the trail head, so plan ahead.
