About This Trail

The high volcanic ridge between Donner Pass and Squaw Valley is one of the most rewarding day-hike destinations in the Tahoe region, with splendid views of the northern Sierra, Lake Tahoe, the mountains and high desert of western Nevada. It is required for a campfire to have a permit.
