About This Trail
There is a section of the trail that may be closed. This is a very poor rock climb with vertical walls at the top. You must have rock climbing and mountaineering skills to make this ascent. The Pacific Crest Trail leads to the western face of the mountain. You will need to clip into bolts on the summit pinnacles if you follow the route marked by a cairn. You and your partner will belay each other for the rest of the trip, and most likely rappel down from the summit, which is a very narrow ridge, only about a foot wide with over thousand foot drops on either side. Do not attempt this climb if you have any fear of heights. You must have previous experience leading climbs to attempt this.
