About This Trail

The Spring brook trail loop has a short section of the devil's icebox trail. The icebox trail is a boardwalk with viewing platforms and stairs. The Rock Bridge and the double sinkhole are among the most impressive geological features in the park. There is a limestone glade, a valley and a spring formed by the collapse of the Icebox Cave system. The displays tell visitors more about the cave system. The hike down the stairs to the double cave entrance is very cool in the summer. The public is not allowed to enter the Icebox Cave. Visitors can wade in the underground stream at the cave entrance into the 150-foot long Connors Cave. Good shoes and helmets are recommended.
