About This Trail
The single track of the Savannah Ridge trail is a narrow one that goes along a ridge and through a savanna. The open woodlands and glades are filled with flowers during the spring and fall. The trail was originally used by people in the 1840's, and now is a gravel and grass surface. Some sections are rocky. The trail is narrow and winds through an open woodland. The larger loop in the middle is divided by White Connector 1 to allow for a shorter loop. The area is occasionally burned to improve the open woodlands. The eastern side of the trail is connected to the Natural Tunnel Trail.
