Spring Branch Trail

The trail offers a leisure hike through Rock Creek bottomland. Wheelchairs and strollers can follow a small stream from the remains of a springhouse that was built in the 19th century. The farming family stored things like milk, eggs, fruits and vegetables before the invention of refrigeration. The trail goes through a young forest of hackberry and box elder trees and is a popular place for wading during the summer. The creek has a variety of aquatic wildlife. Continue through the box elder trees to the picnic area.
