Smith Knob Hettinger Ranch OHV Trail

The pictoglyphs on the South Fork of the Salmon River are from the Burgdorf, Idaho "Y" to Warren, Smith Knob, and then to the other side. The hike begins on the Warren Wagon Road. The Warren Wagon Road goes all the way to Warren, Idaho. The road goes to Burgdorf, Idaho and the Salmon River. There is a lot of parking on the south side of the "Y". It is 16 miles from here to Warren. If you start at Warren, Idaho, you can cut the trip in half. The road is good all the way to Warren. The Hettinger Road has many opportunities to see the Frank Church - River of No Return Wilderness. The road is suitable for cars in good weather. The POI #10 has a video of the scenery. The Smith Road is for high clearance vehicles.
