About This Trail

There is a trail that is not casual hiking. The trail is a training course for the Sierra Club. This is not maintained by the national park. The Wilderness Travel Course is put on every year by the Sierra Club. The course is focusing on navigation and rock scrambling this weekend. It is a challenging destination for the annual weekend. The hike starts with a Gorge, then up a Flat, then up to a steep hill, and finally the ascent to the summit. You can climb a 1380 ft elevation gain to the peak and four mikes. Entrance fees are needed to enter the park.
